Kellie Buckner, Ed. S., LMFT

Kellie received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wofford College and her Educational Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College. She completed her clinical training at West Gate Family Therapy Institute and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Some clinical training was also completed at the USC Counseling and Human Development Center.
She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the South Carolina Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Kellie currently serves as President for SCAMFT. She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Kellie has worked in various counseling settings including private, school, mental health, and group homes. She has a systemic orientation and uses multiple therapeutic approaches, including solution-focused, narrative, and collaborative therapy. Kellie also enjoys using creative approaches such as art, music, and writing in therapy when possible.
She specializes in working with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues and likes to focus on exploring meaning, purpose, and connectedness. Currently, she works with college students at the Wofford College Wellness Center.
Kellie is excited to maintain a small private practice at Eastside Family Therapy Associates, however is not currently accepting new clients.
